Great experience had on northern lights tour. Our first night was aborted due to poor visibility (lots of cloud) which was disappointing but Go to Joy called us the next day and offered us another chance the next evening so we took it and we are extremely glad we did. The guide was very knowledgeable so much so that after a 40 min drive to a remote area a quick check with his camera then another two minute drive to a better spot, we were seeing the northern lights. We had a fantastic display which went on for a good hour or more and we got some fantastic photos. The guide did a great job as and will also take photos of you if you wish. Take the chance to do this as you may otherwise miss out and trust the guide! They know what they are doing! ~ Amanda M

The northern lights tour with our guide Maggi was great! He was passionate and knowledgeable about the phenomenon. I enjoyed his scientific explanation behind the formation of the lights. We travelled to different locations through the night to maximise the chances of spotting the lights. We had a clear sky but the northern light activity was low meaning we got a faint glimpse that night. What I really appreciated was Maggi taking time to explain what indicators to look for and giving advice on how to look for the lights which enabled us to see an amazing spectacle the following night. I'd definitely recommend the tour and the guide who is attentive and goes above and beyond to enhance the experience for everyone! ~ Wiktor L

We booked an additional Northern Lights tour through our hotel the Centrum as our first tour whilst very good hadt achieved the end result of seeing the Lights. Our guide Maggie was fantastic being very knowledgeable and clearly having a desire to make the experience memorable to us all. My wife has terminal cancer this was one of her bucket list things to do but she is limited in what she can and cannot do Maggie was superb in making her feel comfortable and part of the overall experience. He offered a photo service we didn't feel as if we had to have the photos even though we did. We highly recommend the tour through Go to joy Iceland. We loved our Aurora hunt. The agent was very flexible and accomodating as we had to quarantine for one day and had to delay the tour for one day, while we waited our negative result. We were picked up on time, as specified on the email and our driver, 3M, went above and beyond to ensure our group got to see the Northern Lights, although the weather was not the friendliest from the start. We managed to see the lights in 3 différént locations. Magnus also took some really beautiful pictures, when we found the lights, to keep these memories alive in our mind ❤️ thank you so much for the experience! ~ Andra C

First of all I tried to seek the northern lights on my own at first and although I saw them, it was a mediocre experience. So I booked a tour and it was SO worth it. The guide (MM) was very knowledgeable, a true expert and we had an amazing experience. We saw a great display DESPITE the Kp forecast and and had the luck to not have any cancellations. Do not freak out when tours are canceled, as the guides are experts and do it for the client’s sake. There are many factors going to an aurora display. Overall I felt it was more than worth it and feel grateful for having a guide like this! ~ Markos T

Makrem picked us up promptly from our stop and took us on a comfy mini bus. We were very fortunate to see the lights more or less as soon as we arrived. He was fantastic throughout, super informative and just really lovely. We only had our phones, but he showed us the app to use and helped everyone with their camera settings. He also had a professional camera and took pictures for 2000ISK per photo. We didn't have cash on us, but he was kind enough to meet us the next day to pick it up from us. Wonderful tour and really lovely people. Highly recommended - I'll definitely use them again!!! ~ Farida

What an amazing experience! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Northern Lights and where to find them. He explained how to set our cameras so we would have the best pictures. He went around to everyone individually to make sure their cameras were set properly. He took us to a lake but there were no lights there so we went to another area where we were the only tour and we found Northern Lights!!! I would definitely recommend this tour. ~ Judy O

Excellent service from booking to taking us out to search for the northern lights. The company was very understanding and accommodating when our flight was delayed. Brilliant trip in a nice small group with a very helpful guide Macram with great knowledge about the lights and suitable camera settings. The trip was brought forward by an hour on the night to maximise the chance of seeing the lights for longer, and I am so glad they did! It was incredible and clouded over after 45 mins so we would have missed them otherwise. Rushing dinner plans to see the lights was a no brainer! Tour guide was excellent! Really put in effort to make sure we saw them. First night was cancelled due to weather but we were booked straight on for the next night and boy was it worth it we luckily seen them from the first 30/40 mins into the tour and for another hour ! Proper photos taken by the guide which you can download next day from there facebook page! Would recommend anyone to go with this guide was brilliant! ~ Dylan N

I booked with Go to Joy Iceland for a northern lights trip and could not have had a better experience. Despite a mistake on my end Makrem searched the city until he found us to pick us up. The tour itself was perfectly executed and our guide did not rest until we had the ultimate experience. We had a wonderful tour of the golden circle friday 10.01.2020. Makrem did an excellent job getting us safely from A to B, considering the rough weather conditions. He was very service minded and charged our phones😊 He was a good story teller and explained a lot about the icelandic way of living combined with a recording in english. Highly recommend this tour! Maggi was extremely knowledgeable about the northern lights and made sure he did everything possible for us to find them. I did NOT see the Northern Lights. In fact, my tour was cancelled the first day, rebooked for the second day, then cancelled again. So why the five stars? The company was very responsive and alerted me in plenty of time. Booking ANY tour that depends on the weather is very risky, especially in Iceland. I will definitely use them on my next trip. Let’s hope the weather cooperates. ~ Mark M

Today we did the tour with Makrem. Due to covid we were the only two on the tour. I really appreciated the fact there was only two of us in the tour and he was still willing to continue with the tour. He was incredibly friendly, informative, understanding, and a safe driver. Lovely people, really great service, answered all my questions quickly and a well organised tour overall. Icelandic weather truly is the most unpredictable, but if it’s cancelled due to storm etc they will rebook you so you will have an opportunity to see the lights! Our Golden Circle & Northern Lights tour with Enjoy Iceland Tours was outstanding. During the day we saw Gullfoss, Geysir, and Thingvellir, and by night the Aurora lit up the sky. The schedule was smooth, the guide was knowledgeable, and everything was perfectly organized. Worth every penny! ~ AARNA T

Prompt pick up. Comfy van and left the heating on whilst we patiently waited for the lights to appear. The guide also made sure we were away from the big coaches. So only our mini bus in the car park with just the 14 of us. A really friendly guide. ~ Sarah T
